2014 Teen Summer Reading Club

08/14/2014 Categories: book club cool stuff summer reading club

Thank you to all of those who participated in this year's Teen Summer Reading Club. Over 200 teens registered this year and read a total of 3500 hours. Fun was had by the teens who attended our events, especially Burritos & Books and Games & Grub. For those teens that read 25 or more hours, they were further entertained by attending our Teen Lock-In.

The theme for this year's Lock-In was "Welcome to the Jungle" and so the Turrentine Room was transformed into a dense jungle, teens enjoyed chomping on jungle-themed food, "hunted" exotic animals in the children's room and crafted their own jewelry. We are sad to see the summer end, but are excited about what lies ahead for the 2015 Summer Reading Club.
