Teen Art of the Week

02/28/2014 Categories: art

Hey! This is Cathy Janovitz, the new Teen Librarian here at the Escondido Public Library. This is the start of a new weekly blog featuring the awesome art that is drawn by our teens. I just replaced the white paper on the tables in the Teen area and now it's time for me to reveal the two best drawings from this week. It was a tough call with many cool drawings to choose from, but here are my two favorites.

If you like what you see, take a moment and checkout the rest of our Teen Table Art on the library's Flickr page.

These programs and many others were created by the Teen Librarian, Joanna Axelrod. They were enjoyed by the many of you who came to the library every Wednesday afternoon around 4 pm or just happened to be in the Teen Area.

Joanna was a super motivator for all things TEEN!

She served as  the teen librarian for several years. She was so AWESOME, that her energy has been snapped up with her recent promotion as Technical and Support Services Manager. She is not leaving our library, she is moving on to bigger and brighter adventures.

WE THANK HER for making Teen Services so special to our library. The Library is in the process of replacing her posistion, once they have made their decision we will share that news with you. We are excited to see what new ideas, crafts, and programs the new librarian will be planning for you.

Congratulations to Joanna and Thank YOU, Fabulous TEENS for making this an amazing 2013!

Here's to what's next in 2014!
