Library At the Mall

The Escondido Public Library will be housed at the North County Mall for approximately one year while repairs and upgrades are done to the Main Library in downtown. The mall locations are split into two libraries: The General Library and the Children’s Library.

Services

All library services will be available, but only some are available in both storefronts.

  • Public Computers: 
    • Only four (4) computers are available in the General Library (#171). 
    • Additional Chromebook laptops are available for in-library use at the service desk. 
    • There are no public computers available in the Children’s Library. Ask staff about the tablets available for in-library use!
  • Holds
    • All holds are currently available for pickup in the General Library (#171)
  • Returns
    • All returns must be made inside the mall libraries' service desks in either the General or Children's Library.
    • Outside returns are on-order and are expected by July, 2025.
    • The book drop at the Main Library is now closed. 
  • Printing
    • Print, Copy, and Fax is available at the self-serve Print Station in the General Library (#171). 
    • There is no public printer in the Children’s Library.
