Escondido, CA - Rincón Literario (The Literary Corner), Escondido Public Library’s Bilingual Book Discussion Group, will meet on Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. Senior Library Associate Cecy Rayphole will lead the discussion of this month’s selection, Todo oscuro sin estrellas/Full Dark, No Stars by Stephen King, in both English and Spanish. Copies of the book are available for check out and may be reserved in the Library catalog at library.escondido.org.
Todo oscuro sin estrellas/Full Dark, No stars features four dark and suspenseful novellas, all dealing with the concept of retribution. In the novella “1922,” a man tells the story of murdering his wife. “Big Driver” is the story of a writer who, following a book signing at a library, takes a shortcut resulting in a dark and brutal event. A man with terminal lung cancer is given a second chance at life in “Fair Extension”, and in “A Good Marriage”, a woman stumbles upon a box that reveals her husband of 27 years is not the man she thought he was. Rincón Literario will meet next month, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 to discuss the classic El Conde de Montecristo/The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas.
