13 Reasons Why

by Jay Asher

13 Reasons Why

Clay Jensen comes home to find a package addressed to him. In it, he finds casette tapes. When he plays the first one, he learns that they are recordings of Hannah Baker, a girl he had a crush on and who had recently committed suicide. Hannah states that there are 13 reasons why she decided to end her life and Clay is one of them.

13 Reasons Why is an excellent novel. It's a very disheartening story that conveys how much words and actions can affect people, no matter how seemingly insignificant and meaningless the actions may be. Jay Asher's novel, which is written exceptionally, is very haunting, somber, yet interesting and thought provoking.

I would definitely recommend 13 Reasons Why to teens. A myriad of kids these days suffer and witness bullying. Many would be able to relate with the adversities Hannah Baker faced. This story inspires people to act instead of be bystanders because doing nothing also has grave consequences. Although the story is very tragic, it leaves a positive impact on ones life.

Top of the Feud Chain

by Lisi Harrison

Image result for Top of the Feud ChainThis is the last book of the Alphas series. Charlie, Allie, and Skye are some of the few Alphas left on Alpha Island, where they have been having competitions. Whoever loses gets sent home. In a competition gone wrong, the girls have been challenged to a place race and decide to bring along the Darwin boys. Unfortunately, the plane crashes in a desert and they are left to find a way out.

I thought it was a good ending to the series. The ending totally surprised me and I never saw it coming.

I would totally recommend this book to other people who have read this series along with the Clique book.

Pants on Fire

by Meg Cabot

Pants on Fire coverOne,boy-loving, teenage girl who will do anything to get revenge on the one who might ruin her reputation. Pants on Fire is about teenage love and finding out who really loves who between a group of really good friends, even if lying is involved.

This book is a really good book because of all the drama between secret boyfriends and real ones. I like how in the end, the drama made this group of teenagers find out who they really are and who they really loved.

If you like relatable, drama filled books, you would love Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot.

The Clique

by Lisi Harrison

Clique coverThe Clique is about four girls that own the school. Everything is going great... until Claire shows up. Massie (the queen bee) gets a little intimidated so of course she finds some way to hurt Claire, but two can play that game!

I liked the part when Claire finally got some payback. I would recommend this book/series to girls in grades 6-9.
