The Downtown Escondido Makeover Continues: Grand Avenue

Construction Updates

This week, our landscaping team will continue adding new greenery to Subphases 1 and 2, creating an inviting and relaxing atmosphere on Grand Avenue. The construction team will also add decorative fencing to restaurant sidewalks in Subphase 2 to elevate your dining experience. In Subphase 3, construction teams anticipate starting on concrete work for sidewalks and laying asphalt around the Broadway roundabout.

Weather Update: Construction teams will not be working during rain, which may cause delays in planned work over the coming week.

Traffic Reminders: As progress continues on the final phases of construction, we want to keep you informed of the latest traffic updates. Through traffic from Kalmia to Maple will be closed during Subphase 3. The intersection at Grand Avenue and Broadway is closed, with alternative routes via Valley Parkway and 2nd Avenue. Please be aware of all traffic signs and plan for additional travel time. If walking near Broadway, please remain on pedestrian walkways. We are grateful for your patience as our team works hard to complete this exciting development to Grand Avenue.
