Escondido Public Library will reopen for limited in-person services on Monday, September 21, 2020.
Library hours will be 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Holds can be picked up on the self-service shelves during Library open hours. Additionally, curbside pickup service for holds will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. For information on how curbside pickup works, visit http://library.escondido.org/curbside.aspx. Due to limited seating, library users are limited to two hours per day inside the library.
For health and safety, all persons who enter the Library building are required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth, and maintain six feet of distance from others. In-person services are subject to change per the State and County Public Health Orders.
At this time, the Friends Book Shop, Literacy Learning Center and Pioneer Room remain closed. Donations are not being accepted at this time. No overdue fees will be charged until January 1, 2021. All items can be returned in the outdoor book drops, located in the Library parking lot, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Items will be checked in after a 5 day quarantine period.
