A Girl Called Fearless is about a dystopian society where the majority of child bearing age women have died, so the men control everything that the older women and younger girls do. One teenage girl, called Avie, has been promised in marriage by her own father to a much older man that she hates. Avie decides to run away, and this is the story of her journey.

The first half of the book is incredible, with a dynamic character, Avie, and problems for her to face. The second half was also good, but it had a slightly different tone that was not quite as adventure-filled.

This book would be a great read for fans of the Matched series or The Heir series.
