Escondido, CA - Escondido Public Library continues the series, Be Money Smart @ Escondido Public Library with this month’s topic, Financial Planning for Retirement, on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. The Library is proud to partner with the San Diego Financial Literacy Center to present an overview of important steps that should be completed before retirement. The program will also provide an in-depth look at the A-B-C’s of investing to assist with achieving retirement goals.

The San Diego Financial Literacy Center, sdflc.org, provides expertise for this ongoing series. The Center enhances the financial IQ of San Diego County residents by providing information, education, and training to manage finances, create strong credit profiles, borrow wisely, and plan for retirement.

Librarian Neva Robinson, program coordinator, commented, Be Money Smart @ Escondido Public Library is a new series to help community members receive information about financial topics that affect their every day lives. As an introductory series, we zeroed in on planning for social security, retirement, college and managing debt. The San Diego Financial Literacy Center’s expertise is complemented by the many financial planning resources and books available in the Library’s collection.”

Be Money Smart @ Escondido Public Library will continue on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, with Managing Your Debt/Credit Cards. On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, Planning for College Expenses will be presented as the final program in this series.
