A futuristic Cinderella tale, Cinder tells the story of a cyborg mechanic girl named Cinder, who catches the eye of the prince of New Beijing. While getting to know the prince, she learns about her history, another race with the power to control people, and how she is a large key into saving New Beijing- and the world.

I found this story extremely intriguing. A girl who is discriminated against yet still saves the world is inspiring, yet it's still a fictional page turner. As it's the first book in a series, The Lunar Chronicles, it's a really nice beginning that picks up speed and sets the mood for the rest of the series. It's a story that I stayed up late into the night reading.

Every book in the series, Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter, is perfect for anyone with a sense of adventure. The only thing I don't like are the small romantic bits, I found them awkward. You can't go wrong with this book, as there is something for everyone.
