Escondido, CA - Escondido Public Library invites curious souls to its first ever Death Cafe meeting open to adults on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. Space is limited, and reservations are recommended at library.escondido.org/register or 760-839-4836.
Hosted by Erica Smalley, geriatric nurse and Certified Dementia Practitioner, this North San Diego County edition of Death Cafe provides a safe and agenda free place to discuss life and death over coffee, tea, and tasty treats. The first Death Cafe was held in London, England in 2011, and since then over 5200 Death Cafe sessions have been offered in 51 countries. This is not a grief therapy group, but a friendly and interesting discussion of death, dying, and end of life concerns. Bring an open mind, an open heart, and your curiosity!
