Escondido, CA – Summer reading clubs are for all ages to enjoy. In addition to offering summer reading clubs for children and teens, the Escondido Public Library is hosting a Summer Reading Club especially for adults with the theme, Reading is So Delicious. The club runs from June 17 to August 3, 2013. Starting June 17th, adults can participate by visiting the Library in person or by registering via the Library’s web site http://library.escondido.org/adultSRC. Registration runs through July 20, 2013.

Adults who register are encouraged to share reading recommendations with others by submitting brief book reviews. Each week one review will be selected in a drawing for a prize. The Library’s web page will feature a number of selected reviews.

Kelley Aderholt, the 2012 Club’s Grand Prize Winner, looks forward to 2013: “It was fun.  I always get my kids to do the Summer Reading Club, and when they saw that there was one for adults, I knew I should join, too.  I never expected I’d be the Grand Prize Winner.”

Library programs, events and services are free and open to the public. The Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street in Escondido. Contact Reference Librarian, David Frazee at 760-839-4839 for more information on the Adult Summer Reading Club.
