Escondido, CA – Escondido Public Library and the Pioneer Room Friends will host Escondido’s Little Tokyo, presented by Japanese-American Historical Society of San Diego Archivist, Linda Canada, on Tuesday October 18, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Turrentine Room.

Delve into stories of the historical legacy left by Japanese immigrants who settled throughout North County San Diego from Escondido’s “East End Tokyo” to Oceanside’s “Little Tokyo”. Escondido’s Little Tokyo is sponsored by the Pioneer Room Friends, a support group dedicated to preserving and promoting Escondido Public Library’s local history archive, the Pioneer Room. This presentation is the highlight of their annual meeting.
