Escondido, CA - Escondido Public Library will host a Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead celebration, on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. The Day of the Dead honors the memory of loved ones who have passed away, and the Library celebrates this tradition with cultural stories, music, sugar skull decorating, and offerings.

Día de los Muertos is made possible by the generous support from Friends of the Escondido Public Library, and is free and open to the public. Registration is not required, but early arrival is encouraged as space and supplies may be limited. To access books in the Library catalog, and for more information about this event and other youth programs at the Library, visit library.escondido.org or contact Lalitha Nataraj, Interim Senior Librarian for Youth and Literacy Services, at 760-839-4219 or lnataraj@escondido.org.
