Escondido, CA – Escondido Library Youth Services invites children and their families to celebrate Día De Los Niños; Día de los Libros / Day of the Child; Day of the Book. This program will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 3:30 - 4:30 PM in the Turrentine Room, for children, ages 5-12, and their families.
This year’s Día de los Niño’s celebration will transport children around the world as they “travel” from France to Mexico, and to Japan. Children will hear stories from foreign lands, explore book displays, and participate in crafts. Cindi Bouvier, Senior Youth Services Librarian, states, “This program emphasizes the importance of reading while introducing children to cultures around the world in a fun and engaging way.”
Library programs, events, and services are free and open to the public. Registration is not required. The Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street in Escondido. Please contact Senior Youth Services Librarian, Cindi Bouvier, for further information on this program at 760-839-5456 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
