Escondido, CA – Escondido Public Library announces the next series of the craft-based monthly program, Create It @ Your Library, for teens and tweens ages 12 to 18 years old. Create It @ Your Library will take place in September, October, and November, on the third Wednesday of each month from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The first meeting will be on September 20, 2017 in the Library’s Turrentine Room.
A variety of craft projects and techniques will be introduced at the following hands-on sessions:
• Broken Record Art on September 20, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Use fragments of old records to create a colorful and vibrant piece of art.
• Screen Printing on October 18, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Create a basic design and use screen printing tools to print onto a t-shirt. (Participants must bring their own t-shirt.)
• String Nail Art on November 15, 2017 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wrap string around a series of nails to create a distinctive pattern.
This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Escondido Public Library. All craft supplies will be provided, except for t-shirts. Registration is not required; however, early arrival is recommended as supplies may be limited. Library programs, events, and services are free and open to the public.
