Who are the Friends of Literacy Services?
The mission of our organization is to support the Escondido Public Library Adult Literacy Services' programs with needed material and resources.
To accomplish our mission, we:
COLLABORATE with the literacy services staff to determine needed support, materials and resources, and to help plan our annual events.
CONNECT with the tutors and learners for their valuable input, and with our community for their support and contributions.
Friends of Literacy Board of Directors:
Our Board of Directors meets once monthly on the 3rd Wednesday at 4:30 PM in the Literacy Learning Center. We sponsor an annual event, Scrabble-Thon, in March. This is a fun tournament open to the public. We also host the annual Learner Appreciation Dinner in May.
