The Literacy and Lifelong Learning Department will be hosting a Holiday Open House at the Escondido Public Library from 3:00PM - 5:00PM on Thursday, December 13th. This holiday themed open house will showcase the literacy department’s programs, which are free to the public, giving a warm holiday environment for both adults and children to enjoy. Literacy staff members, student ambassadors, volunteer tutors, and adult learners will all be present at this event. An expert literacy staff member or volunteer will be available at each station to provide detailed information and share personal experiences about each specific program. Each program will be individually displayed throughout the room to provide an interactive browsing environment for guests. Flyers and handouts will be available at each station for individuals to take home.

Featured literacy programs include: One-on-One Tutoring, Learning Communities, ESL classes, Bookmobile and Outreach, Families for Literacy, Lifelong Learning Workshops, and Special Events.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be held in the library, presented by the Literacy staff, taking place in the Turrentine Room, on the second floor. Please contact the Literacy and Lifelong Learning Department at (760) 839-5440 for any further questions.
