The Escondido Public Library Kids’ Summer Reading Club (SRC) will offer three special events in June for children and families to attend in the Turrentine Room;

Annie Banannie on June 14th, Craft Time on June 21st, and Charles Johnson on June 28th.

Annie Banannie performs What’s your Dream on Thursday, June 14th at 2 PM. The sky’s the limit when Annie Banannie provides all kinds of entertainment with balloons!  Definitely fun, possibly absurd, and positively awesome!  Don’t miss the finale – the Giant Balloon!  The audience will also be able to participate in Annie’s balloon theatre, “What’s Your Dream.”

Craft Time on Thursday, June 21st at 2 PM. Create your own Dream Catcher to make all your dreams come true.

Charles Johnson Les Voyages Fantastique June 28th at 2 PM. Dream with Charles Johnson, as he tells five tales of adventure to far-away places traveling in a great flying ship.  Hear the stories of his fantastic companions, Baron Munchausen, the Blue Fairy, Sinbad, and a Noble Whale.

Kids’ Summer Reading Club programs are made possible by generous support from the Friends of the Escondido Public Library. The programs are free and open to the public. Come early as seating is limited.

The Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street in downtown Escondido.  For more information call the library at (760) 839-4837 or visit the library website.
