Submit your fiction or non-fiction (excluding poetry) writing between June 1 to June 30, 2021. The winners will be announced at the Escondido Writers Group meeting on July 20. This contest is open to anyone age 12 and up. Every entry must stand on its own merits. Judges will not give special dispensation or more liberal consideration for youth entries.

Entries should be:

• Typed or in electronic format

• 2500 word limit

• Double spaced, one-inch margins

• Name, the title of the entry and contact information only on cover sheet. (The title of entry needs to be at the top of the entry without writer’s name).

All entries are ‘blind’ read by 3 published writers:

• Glae Thien

• Jill Hall

• Cornelia Feye

Three prizes will be awarded: First, Second, and Honorable Mention, regardless of genre.
