Escondido, CA — Virtual Strangers, a local, award-winning bluegrass band, bring high-energy music to Escondido Public Library’s 2nd Saturday Concert Series on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by enjoying Virtual Strangers’ three-part harmonies and a driving, bluegrass beat that is guaranteed to lift spirits and get feet tapping.

Virtual Strangers have performed at many bluegrass festivals throughout the West, winning top honors in several of them. Their signature sound is a mixture of traditional bluegrass, influenced by Ralph Stanley, Earl Monroe, and Flatt and Scruggs, with more progressive material from Blue Highway, Lonesome River Band, and Del McCoury.

Escondido Public Library’s 2nd Saturday Concert Series runs from November 2014 through May 2015 and features an array of diverse musical styles. For more information about future performances, visit library.escondido.org, or contact Senior Librarian, Paul Crouthamel, at 760-839-4814. The 2nd Saturday Concert Series is free, open to the public, and generously sponsored by Friends of the Escondido Public Library. Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street, Escondido, CA 92025.
