The City of Escondido is currently experiencing an aesthetic issue with its imported water supply from the San Diego County Water Authority. Since Monday, September 22, the City has received a small number of resident questions regarding taste and odor.
City water treatment plant staff have already implemented process adjustments to minimize both the duration and the impact of this issue.
It is important to note that the water remains completely safe to drink and continues to meet all state and federal water quality standards.
This is strictly an aesthetic concern with no impact on public health.
