Escondido, CA – Escondido Public Library offers opportunities to experience something new in 2016 through the New Year, New You series of events. Throughout January and February, adults can start their next adventure - for free - at the Library.

New Year, New You includes the following events:

  • Saturday, January 9
    12 - 1:30 p.m.
    Travel Adventures With Road Scholar

    Learn about Elderhostel’s Road Scholar Program, the world’s leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing learning opportunities for adults across the globe. Learn from inspiring instructors, and make lifelong friends. Drawing for a $50 gift certificate.
     
  • Fridays January 22, 29 & February 5, 12
    11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    Feldenkrais: Discover Natural Pain Relief 

    After a Feldenkrais lesson, you may feel taller, lighter, breathe more easily and begin to feel a sense of grace and elegance in your movements. Instructed by Anita Noone, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner. Bring a mat, towel, or blanket. Pre-registration encouraged, call 760-839-4814 to register.
     
  • Tuesday, February 2
    6 – 7 p.m.
    POUND Rock Out Workout

    POUND is a full-body cardio jam session combining light resistance with constant drumming. Instructed by Cynthia Demorest. Pre-registration required, call 760-839-4814 to register. This class is presented in partnership with Escondido Recreation.
