Escondido, CA – Second Saturday Storytime and Crafts is a new program for children, ages 3-12, and their families. It will begin on September 14, 2013 and continue through the second Saturday of May, 2014, from 11 AM—12:00 PM in the Children’s Room.

Each monthly program consists of a structured storytime where children learn early literacy skills and parents gain tips to assist their children with developing reading skills at home. In addition, an unstructured craft time encourages creativity, self-expression, and the development of fine motor skills.

Library programs, events, and services are free and open to the public. Programs are sponsored by the Friends of the Escondido Public Library. The Escondido Public Library is located at 239 South Kalmia Street in Escondido.

Please contact Senior Children’s Librarian, Cindi Bouvier, for further information on this and other Children’s programs at 760-839-4837 or at cbouvier@escondido.org. Other programs and events can be viewed on the Library’s monthly calendar or at http://library.escondido.org/kids
