Take the Teen Tech Challenge at the Escondido Public Library


Escondido, CA – Teen Tech Month, March 1 – 31, 2016, is an annual celebration raising awareness about how libraries extend teens’ learning beyond the classroom by enabling their exploration and creation of content utilizing non-print resources. Tweens and teens, ages 11 – 18, are encouraged to Create It @ Your Library during the following events.

  • March 1 – 31, 2016
    Teen Tech Challenge!
    Complete activities on the Teen Tech Challenge Sheet to earn 1500 points and be entered in the prize drawing. Completed entries due by March 31. Pick up a Challenge Sheet in the Teen Area or download it at library.escondido.org/teens starting March 1, 2016.
  • March 2, 16, 23, & 30, 2016
    3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
    Esco Teens Create
    Esco Teens Create is a program that provides a place for tweens and teens to express their creativity by learning how to create varying types of crafts for the community. Participants earn service hours while spending quality time with friends. All supplies provided.
  • March 9, 2016
    3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
    Create It @ Your Library
    Celebrate Teen Tech Month! Deconstruct relics of old technology and use the parts to create something new. Supplies and tools provided. Ages 11 – 18.


Library programs are generously sponsored by Friends of the Escondido Public Library and free to the public.
