WHO: Local (Escondido and surrounding San Diego county cities) tweens and teens ages 11+.
WHAT: Earn community service credit from the comfort of your bed just by writing reviews of your favorite books.
Fill out the Review Crew Participation Form and review the guidelines for qualifying reviews.
- 2 *qualifying* book reviews = 1 hour community service
*qualifying reviews must follow the guidelines outlined on the Review Crew Book Review Form.
- Create video book reviews!
WHEN: 24/7 online!
HOW: Once you've joined the Review Crew by completing the Participation Form, you can start reviewing books using the Review Crew Book Review Form. When you need to turn in your community service hours to school, just email cathy.janovitz@escondidolibrary.org to request a verification of hours letter & schedule a meeting. You must schedule a time to come into the library to pick up verification of hours letters & monthly prizes from Teen Librarian Cathy.
WHY: In addition to earning community service credit, crew members will receive a free book after submitting their first 4 reviews and will be entered into monthly drawings to win fabulous freebies!
