Business
The Escondido Police Department Business Division manages budgets for the General Fund, Capital Improvement Fund, Revenue Fund, grants, asset forfeiture, and task forces.

Communications
Our communications center is currently staffed with one Public Safety Communications Manager, four Public Safety Dispatch Shift Supervisors, and twenty Public Safety Dispatchers.

Investigations
The purpose of the Investigations Bureau is to provide both initial and follow-up investigations regarding criminal activity in the City of Escondido, as well as proactive enforcement to curtail future criminal activity from occurring.

Patrol
The Patrol Division consists of 12 teams of police and community service officers assigned to work specific neighborhoods for six-month shifts.

PERT
The Psychiatric Emergency Response Team (PERT) consists of a licensed mental health clinician and a dedicated Escondido police officer that work together to assess a mentally ill individual.

Records
The Records Division is responsible for maintaining internal document control over all original reports, including all crime, arrest and traffic accident reports which are received by the Department.

Traffic
The primary responsibility of the Escondido Police Department's Traffic Unit is to make the streets of Escondido as safe as possible for citizens and visitors traveling by foot, bicycle, or motor vehicle.

Training
The Training Division is responsible for the coordination and planning of continuing professional training for all police department staff.
