Overview
The Friends Board of Directors consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and six Directors, along with the City Librarian and a Library Trustee as ex-officio members, totaling thirteen members. The board oversees the organization with a quorum of seven members. Officers are nominated through a specified process and elected by a majority at the annual meeting for one year. At the same time, directors serve two-year terms, possibly serving additional terms under certain conditions. Vacancies on the board are filled by appointments until the next election. Additionally, the Board appoints a volunteer coordinator for the Friends Bookstore, an ex-officio board member with voting rights who can be reappointed.
