Overview
Real Property administers the City's Real Property program to ensure that the City's real property assets are properly managed and that right-of-way needs are met. Real Property provides support to various Departments within the City performing services such as asset management, right-of-way acquisition, and all other functions related to municipal real estate matters.
Asset Management
Property Management/Lease Management/Surplus Sales

The City's diverse real estate portfolio is regularly reviewed and strategically managed by Real Property in order to ensure that assets are put to their highest and best uses, with an overriding objective of maximizing revenue to the City and reducing the City's liability. The City owns over 200 real property assets and manages over 70 leases on them, including telecommunications leases with some of the region's major wireless communications providers.
Right-of-Way
Acquisition/Relocation

Real Property is responsible for a broad array of right-of-way activities necessary for the construction of the City's Capital Improvement Projects.
Right-of-way activities performed by Real Property staff include negotiation and acquisition, relocation assistance, title and appraisal review, as well as processing requests for street vacations, granting of easement deeds and accepting dedications and donations of property interests
