Climate Action Plan (2021)

The City's 2021 Climate Action Pan ("CAP") provides a roadmap for reducing greenhouse gas emissions ("GHGs") through the implementation of various strategies, goals, actions and supporting measures.

• 2022 Calendar Year CAP Annual Monitoring Report (PDF): For calendar year 2022, the City's CAP Annual Monitoring Report was packaged with the overall General Plan Annual Progress Report ("GP APR"). The above link provides the CAP Annual Monitoring Report excerpted from the GP APR. The staff report and full GP APR. City Council directed staff to present a stand-alone CAP monitoring report for calendar year 2023 in the next reporting cycle.

  • 2020 SANDAG's ReCAP Snapshot (PDF): San Diego Association of Governments ("SANDAG") provides this data as part of the Regional Climate Action Planning Framework ("ReCAP"). Each ReCAP Snapshot is meant to assist jurisdictions with monitoring community-wide greenhouse gas emissions and/or Climate Action Plan implementation over time. The most recent ReCAP released in 2023 is for the 2020 year.
